Our Commitment to Fairness

Before publishing reports that make significant allegations or critical claims about an individual or organisation, we make reasonable efforts to contact those concerned and offer them the opportunity to respond.

Where a subject of a story has been contacted for comment, their response — or their decision not to respond — is included in the article.

How to Request a Right of Reply

If you believe a published article contains inaccurate or unfair coverage of you or your organisation, you may request a right of reply by contacting our editorial team. Please include:

  • A link to the article in question
  • A clear explanation of what you believe is inaccurate or unfair
  • Any evidence or supporting material
  • Your proposed response (if applicable)

What Happens Next

We review all right of reply requests promptly. Where a response is merited, we will either append your response to the original article, publish a clarification, or issue a correction as appropriate.

We aim to respond to all requests within three working days.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how your right of reply request has been handled, you may escalate your complaint to our senior editorial team using the same contact address. We will review all escalated complaints fairly and respond in writing.
